Privacy Policy
Onward requires an account. Question papers are served from our backend and open only for a signed-in account; signing in also carries your progress between devices.
Data we process
The app stores selected exam, answers, bookmarks, recent results and review schedules on your device, and keeps a copy against your account so another device can pick it up. To run the product we also record first-party usage events against that account: app open, sign-in, country and exam chosen, which paper was opened or graded, Learn checks, and content-load failures. Events carry paper id, exam, scores and app version — not question text, and they are not sent to any advertising or analytics vendor.
Advertising
The free app shows ads served by Google AdMob: a small banner at the bottom of the screen and an occasional full-screen ad after you open or finish a paper. No ads are shown while a timed mock is running. To serve and measure ads, Google's SDK may process your device's advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location derived from it, and app-usage signals such as ad views and clicks; how Google uses this is described in Google's partner policy. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before any personalised ad is requested, and you can change that choice from the consent form at any time. On iOS you can decline tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt; ads then stay non-personalised. Question text, answers and scores are never shared with the ad network.
Account, payments and AI
If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive the account identifier and, where supplied, your email address. We store learning progress against that account to sync devices. If you choose an Onward Plus purchase, the app passes your internal account ID to RevenueCat to obtain store offerings and validate subscription status. Apple or Google processes payment; we do not receive your full card details. RevenueCat processes purchase and entitlement records under its privacy policy. We use the active entitlement only to remove ads. Sign out or delete your account from My; contact hazel@pintar.kr for help with purchase records. The built-in Study Coach uses explanations included with each question rather than sending them to an external model.

Opening an official source, answer key or copyright-policy link takes you to the relevant government website. That site applies its own privacy and cookie policies.
Support email
If you email support, your email provider and ours process the address and message you choose to send. We use it only to answer the request and correct the product.
Changes
We will update this policy before adding third-party analytics or a live AI service. First-party usage events began with version 1.2.1; Google AdMob advertising started with the September 2026 update that followed it. Store purchases are available only in builds where Onward Plus is shown.

Onward is an independent study app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by UPSC, SSC, RRB, IBPS, NTA, Kerala PSC, or any other examination authority. Exam names are used only to describe which examination the practice material is prepared for.
